On November 29 and 30, 2021, Labex ITTEM organized its first Partner Forum at the Manoir aux Lauzes in Autrans (Vercors). Jean-Baptiste Grison, in charge of socio-economic promotion at Labex ITTEM, reviews the highlights of the two-day event:

“Some forty participants, researchers and socio-economic partners involved in Labex projects, braved the snow to come and exchange ideas in a convivial setting.

Monday afternoon was devoted to exchanges on the research projects presented by their promoters, in the form of posters. The 28 projects on display gave rise to numerous discussions on each other’s approaches and methodologies, enabling participants to get to know each other better.

The day concluded with the screening of a film produced by the Alpes-Là association on the Ecotraversées, initiatives sponsored for several years by Labex ITTEM, the most recent of which took place in the Ecrins massif last July.

On Tuesday morning, socio-economic partners shared their experiences and their needs for partnerships with academic research. In the afternoon, a seminar organized as part of the Colza project (Collaborations dans les Zones Ateliers) explored transdisciplinary methodologies, through which academic and non-academic players conduct shared research projects.

These two days highlighted the methodological innovations at work in the research projects, their grounding in the field and the attentiveness accorded to local players, fundamental to the Labex ITTEM project.
