As a professor of modern history, I am qualified to direct research in modern history.
Research domain
As a specialist in early modernity (15th-17th centuries), I am particularly interested in societies in tension, confronted with situations of conflict, war and crisis, as well as past societies' relationship with verticality, and the dynamics and actors of mountain territories (Alpine region, Dauphiné, Savoie, Piedmont...).
