At a time of climate change and changing practices, many areas of human activity are being put to the test of transition. Some of these are receiving special attention through partnership chairs. Supported by the Grenoble Alpes and Savoie Mont Blanc university foundations, and associated with Labex ITTEM, three of these chairs are focusing on specific issues: alpine forest management, the development of land commonholdings in rural areas, and the impact of tourism in mountain areas.
Stemming from the initial work carried out within Labex ITTEM, these Chairs now embody large-scale projects bringing together scientists and socio-economic players in a common reflection on important societal issues. Ultimately, they aim to produce new knowledge capable of accompanying the changes underway.
