The world of scientific publications often remains obscure to the non-academic public. Yet they are an essential component in the life of a research project. They enable us to share the results and knowledge we have acquired, particularly through field surveys.

Five Labex ITTEM researchers describe their work and investigative methods through the publication of scientific articles, books and theses. They talk about it in the series Bout du fil, directed by Ostiane Chaboisson, with :

  • Mélanie Duval (Edytem/USMB laboratory), on rock engravings against the backdrop of the Haute-Maurienne tourism transition.
  • Coralie Mounet (Pacte/UGA laboratory), talking about the presence of the wolf in Belledonne in a context of agropastoral and dietary transitions.
  • Stéphane Gal (Larhra/UGA laboratory), using experimental archaeology to reconstruct the first ascent of Mont Aiguille.
  • Lucas Bérard-Chenu (Lessem/Inrae laboratory), addressing the dependence of ski resorts on the production of “cultured” snow.
  • Antoine Girard (Pacte/UGA laboratory), investigating decision-making and risk management mechanisms in the mountain guide profession.
