Sharing for the future: Labex ITTEM’s view

On January 21, several Labex ITTEM members took part in Sharing for the Future#2, a seminar organized by the Master Stratégies économiques du sport et du tourisme at Grenoble Alpes University and the Cluster Montagne . The event was attended by almost 90 participants and 470 viewers on Youtube.

Labex researchers were invited to take part in three of the four round tables organized for the occasion. Isabelle Frochot, from the Irège laboratory at the Université Savoie-Mont-Blanc, spoke on The customer experience in tourism and leisure parks: how to optimize immersion (see replay), in connection with work carried out within Labex. In particular, she focused on nesting and frugality experiences and their impact on raising awareness of environmental issues.

Dominique Kreziak, also a researcher at the Irège laboratory and Labex representative within the Cluster Montagne, took part in the round table on Communication & sustainable development: a problem of posture for the French mountains(see replay). She discussed the pitfalls to be avoided by companies, regions and mountain resorts wishing to communicate on sustainable development.

Finally, Philippe Bourdeau, researcher at the Pacte laboratory of Grenoble Alpes University and scientific coordinator of Labex, was invited to speak as part of the round-table discussionInvestments and projects in mountain resorts: back to the future?(see replay) He returned to the phenomena engendered by the health crisis in mountain territories and to the “blind spots” of tourist destinations, supporting the observation that “a transition has to be prepared”.
