This research, part of the Transformont project, is being carried out in the heart of the Bauges region (French Alps), where extensive dairy cattle farming uses the majority of agricultural land to produce Tome des Bauges PDO cheese.

Since the 1980s, however, this region has seen the development of diversified production, often in organic farming, as well as citizens’ initiatives to link agriculture and food through the development of marketing structures for local produce.

The first aim of this work is to study the visions held by the various players in the area on agriculture and food, and to analyze the network of relationships between these different players in order to understand the agri-food changes underway.

The second step is to organize a discussion workshop between stakeholders with different visions, in order to improve mutual understanding and facilitate sustainable transformations in agriculture and food in the Bauges.
