Futurism, a return to heritage
After episode 1, devoted to the mountains, and episode 2 to memorial tourism, Yoann Collange and Mélanie Duval, from the Edytem laboratory, took their turn to play the game of foresight, commenting on fictional accounts of characters living in 2050, for the webdocumentary series Futourisme, an inter-university project in design fiction and scientific mediation supported by the Universities of Savoie Mont Blanc, Grenoble Alpes, Clermont Auvergne and Lyon.
What form will heritage tourism take in 2050?
“In the panorama of tourism offerings in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, the heritage and cultural experience now occupies a central place. Whether tangible, intangible or natural, the heritage our society has inherited will be a source of pride and influence for our regions in 2050“.
Virtual reality, skateboard culture, the Fête des Lumières, site facsimiles… this is what is discussed in several scenarios, “credible or delirious, desirable or dystopian”.
Interviews, reports and additional articles to shed light on this theme are available on the Resources platform.
