The Ecotraversée de Belledonne 2020 on the move

This Sunday, participants in theEcotraversée de Belledonne will begin their tour of the massif, which will take them from Allevard to Domène via the mountains. Seven days of walking to discover the richness of the area and discuss the issues at stake with scientists, associations, local players and artists.

To get the ball rolling, Labex ITTEM researcher Mikaël Chambru (Gresec) will tackle the thorny issue of the wolf and its socio-environmental effects along the route to the Combe Madame refuge, the first stage of the tour.

From June 28 to July 4, the 5,000-metre ascent will be punctuated by a series of subjects: discovery of the “Sentinel Lakes” and “Sentinel Huts” programs, glacier evolution, resort tourism and alternatives, the Espace Belledonne approach, transition…
