Rev&sens – Stories, experiences, videos and mountain awareness
Début du projet : 2025Faced with the changes taking place in mid-range mountain areas, the Rev&sens project proposes to create an immersive video that questions our relationship with living beings and our perception of the environment, and how narrative, image and awareness transform our relationship with ecosystems.

Mountain areas close to major conurbations are experiencing a growing number of visitors, which is causing profound changes. They offer an ideal terrain for analyzing changes in our relationship with the living world in a context of socio-ecological transitions.
Anchored in a transformative science approach, the Rev&Sens project – the result of a joint call for projects with the Zone Atelier Alpes (ZAA) – aims to explore a new form of environmental mediation in these mid-mountain territories.
Following on from the Récitm2 project, which used stories and tales to raise awareness of environmental issues, Rev&Sens explores the use of moving images through the creation of a 20-30 minute video. Based on a narrative that encourages emotional anchorage and openness to the perception of living things, this video is conceived as a mediation tool and an awareness-raising device that stimulates the imagination.
The protocol is based on capturing images and sounds of plant and animal species in mid-mountain areas, notably in the Bauges, Chartreuse and Belledonne massifs. Presented in the form of extracts to participants before their hike, the video will enable us to evaluate its effects through a qualitative survey based on semi-directive interviews. The aim is to observe how the staging of living things influences perception of the environment and fosters sensitivity to ecological diversity.
