On the Italian side, we speak of Sentinel Refuges

The Refuges sentinelles/RefLab project is featured on the front page of the website of the Italian association Cantieri d’Alta Quota (High Altitude Workcamps), an observatory and exchange platform for mountain accommodation facilities for mountaineers and hikers. Raffaella Balzarini and Philippe Bourdeau from Labex ITTEM present the collaborative, scientific and cultural dimensions of the project, and its current spin-off beyond the Ecrins massif, notably in Italy and Switzerland.

Both the association and the Reflab project are members of the steering committee for the exhibition ” Refuges alpins: de l’abri de fortune au tourisme d’altitude”, currently on show at the Musée dauphinois in Grenoble, and which will be the subject of an online conference on April 29.
