Le Versant, the student series
This year, students at the Grenoble School of Journalism produced the Le Versant video series, the result of an educational workshop supported by Labex ITTEM.
The aim of the workshop was to document, through a multimedia project, the environmental impact of mountain sports, at a time when ski resorts are anticipating or initiating a diversification of their sports and tourism offer.
At the end of their documentation work, followed by surveys, meetings and interviews in the field, the students produced the Le Versant series, comprising 25 videos, podcasts and reports on a variety of subjects related to the identified theme: ski competitions, sports facilities, canyoning, hillside reservoirs, vacation resorts, biodiversity atlases and more.
The first episode, entitled La science au service de la transition, features Jean-Baptiste Grison, in charge of training at Labex ITTEM. He discusses the issue of transition as applied to mountain territories and the role of scientific research.
This workshop was led by Emmanuel Marty and Chloë Salles, teacher-researchers and members of the Groupe de recherche sur les enjeux de la communication (Gresec) attached to Grenoble-Alpes University.
