4th Labex ITTEM Meeting, registration now open!
The Bauges massif in Savoie will host the4th edition of Labex ITTEM’s Rencontres on November 7 and 8, 2024. The community of partners – local players and researchers – will exchange ideas around a shared objective: to collectively imagine and map out the contours of a sustainable mountain.
Sharing knowledge, building bridges and fostering collaboration between the academic, institutional, associative and private worlds that share a common interest in the mountains – that’s what this annual event is all about.
” The Rencontres ITTEM 2023 demonstrated that there is a keen interest in strengthening collaborations between these different spheres, which have succeeded in initiating a “common culture” dynamic. This4th edition will aim to build on this positive momentum,” sums up Kirsten Koop, scientific co-coordinator of Labex ITTEM.
In addition to providing feedback on existing collaborations between players in the field and academics, formal and informal exchanges will enable us to take stock of current issues and sketch out new prospects for cooperation.
The role of scientific mediation in transdisciplinary research will be examined, or how the transfer of knowledge to society helps to advance scientific work, and vice versa. The latest mountain news will also be at the heart of the discussions, with a reflection on the natural disasters that have occurred in various mountain ranges this year, in France in the Écrins massif at the hamlet of La Bérarde, or in Switzerland (Valais) and Italy (Val d’Aoste).
The event will take place in the heart of the Bauges, at Ferme de la Mense in the mid-mountain village resort of Aillons-Margériaz.
Registration for the4th edition of Labex ITTEM’s Rencontres is now open!
