Take part in the 1st Spring Mountain Research School!

The Mountain Research School (MRS) – a doctoral school organized every summer since 2021 – is offering a spring edition this year, in partnership with UGA’s Graduate School program, for PhD and Master’s students following a research path. It will take place at the Col du Lautaret (Hautes-Alpes), from April 20 to 24, 2026, on the theme of the mountain cryosphere (snow and ice), its transformations linked to climate change and the associated environmental, social and economic issues.

The approach will be interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary, to introduce future researchers to the links and complementarities between disciplines and with mountain stakeholders. Speakers from the humanities, social sciences and environmental sciences will provide a wide range of insights, inviting participants to reflect on the relevance of these disciplinary cross-fertilizations for their own research topics.

This spring school will be co-hosted by Labex ITTEM, OSUG and Jardin du Lautaret.
