CNRS Research Director, I'm a geomorphologist. I work on the evolution of medium and high mountain environments in the face of global warming, and in particular on the cryosphere (glaciers, permafrost, snow).

In my research, I try to give pride of place to multi-disciplinary work combining the geosciences (glaciology and geomorphology in particular) and the human and social sciences, in order to help meet the challenges facing mountains in the face of climate change.
