After growing up in the Valais mountains, I studied political science at the Universities of Lausanne and Geneva. For the past 20 years, I have been a teacher-researcher in the field of tourism studies, with the Alps as my preferred research area.

I study public policies aimed at encouraging tourism development or controlling its problematic ecological and social effects, as well as governance and the interplay of players in tourism locations, particularly mountain resorts and natural parks.
