The Institut de recherche en gestion et économie (Irege) of the Université Savoie Mont Blanc and the University of Lausanne (Unil) are offering a PhD student position, based in Annecy, for a research project entitled “Dynamiques et enjeux de la nidification dans l’expérience touristique estivale en Montagne”. The project, funded by Labex ITTEM, will be directed by Isabelle Frochot(Irege) and Christophe Clivaz of theInstitut de géographie et durabilité (Unil). In essence, the question posed is: how can “nesting” provide new mountain customers with the “codes” to make them aware of and respect this environment? The thesis, positioned in management sciences, particularly in the field of marketing, will also call on human geography and communication sciences.

The Pacte laboratory at Grenoble Alpes University is also recruiting a research engineer to lead the ” Reflab/Refuges sentinelles ” research project, supported by Labex ITTEM and coordinated by Philippe Bourdeau. Piloted since 2017 in the Écrins National Park, the system is gradually being extended to other mountain ranges. The person recruited will be responsible for developing, coordinating and leading the collaborative approach undertaken between researchers and field practitioners, with a strong investment in the field during the summer season.
